- The International Finance Corporation("IFC"), a member of the World Bank Group, has been contacted by theBogotá Metro Company (EMB), the Government of Cundinamarca (CUN) and the Bogotá- Cundinamarca Metropolitan Region (RMBC), to act as main advisors to conduct thestudies, propose and lead the project structure and subsequent bidding processof the “Concession” contract (financing, designs, works execution, operation andmaintenance, installation, supply, testing, start-up, operation, replacement,maintenance of rolling stock and metro-rail systems) for the execution of 3rdLine of the Bogotá Metro” (the “Project”).The objective of the Project is to support theClient develop a regional mass transport system between Bogotá and Cundinamarcaimproving regional connectivity between the cities of Bogotá and Soacha.Furthermore, IFC will integrate environmental and social (E&S), climate, gender,and accessibility elements into the new concession structure.
